USAM Mission Statement

The very creation of this museum organization was, and is to acquire, restore, and preserve one of our nation's treasures, the Boeing B-29 Superfortress. It is our goal to preserve this historical aviation artifact as a flying educational museum, a symbol of our rich aviation heritage and to preserve in flying condition for future generations to enjoy. We want to tour this aircraft around the United States in honor of the people who built them, flew them, maintained them, and especially for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in them for the freedom of our country.
